Tenancy Services have produced some bright, funny little videos to help tenants and landlords understand their rights and responsibilities when renting.

The videos are already popular on YouTube, with around 100,000 views over the last couple of months. You can find them on this website under each section heading, with more information about tenancies.

Each little story outlines a scenario which is common for New Zealand tenants and landlords, and offers good advice and tips for a successful renting relationship.

Housing and Tenancy Services Information and Education Manager Jennifer Sykes says the videos really grab people’s imagination.

“They’re really entertaining and informative at the same time, and we think a lot of people are going to find these tips useful,” said Jennifer.
