We’ve updated it to use the 2018 Stats NZ Statistical Area Units. These units have been applied because the definitions of geographical areas have evolved to reflect the changing nature of New Zealand’s population distribution.

You can now expect a more accurate picture of bonds being lodged across New Zealand and improved guidance information on market rents.

Depending on where you live in New Zealand, you might see some adjustments in the median market rents for your region, however any change is not a representation of a market shift.
