Changes to multiple parts of tenancy law

From 11 February 2021, multiple changes to tenancy legislation took effect. The changes covered:

• Security of rental tenure
• Fixed-term tenancies converting to periodic tenancies
• Tenants making minor changes to the property
• Prohibiting rental bidding
• Installing fibre broadband
• Changes for the Tenancy Tribunal
• Assignment of tenancies
• Enforcement measures being strengthened
• Landlords providing records
