Changes to multiple parts of tenancy law
From 11 February 2021, multiple changes to tenancy legislation took effect. The changes covered:
- Security of rental tenure
- Fixed-term tenancies converting to periodic tenancies
- Tenants making minor changes to the property
- Prohibiting rental bidding
- Installing fibre broadband
- Changes for the Tenancy Tribunal
- Assignment of tenancies
- Enforcement measures being strengthened
- Landlords providing records
